Hi there. I’m Feiya Zhang. I’m currently a graduate student in Philosophy at Simon Fraser University. Before studying philosophy, I completed an MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. My philosophical interests include ethics, aesthetics, and social metaphysics. As an artist, I explore possibilities of storytelling through books, installations, and video.
I have a deep curiosity about people. I always wonder why they act and speak in certain ways—what thoughts sit behind their actions, the social circumstances shaping them, and the personal histories that can be traced. This curiosity has led me to focus on personal relationships and moral psychology in philosophy. It also guides my artistic practice: my works often tell stories about people I’ve encountered, cared about, or become attached to.
